Consumer CreditMembers of chambers advise on all aspects of consumer credit.
Our clients include all types of creditor (including clearing banks, credit card issuers, retailers and non-status lenders), borrowers and regulatory and enforcement authorities
Our expertise in this area includes the drafting of credit agreements, advising in relation to consumer credit advertising and websites, review of documentation in preparation for securitisation or acquisition of loan portfolios, acting in court proceedings, submissions to the Advertising Standards Agency and Financial Services Ombudsman, and representation at hearings before the OFT and the Department for Business Entrerprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR).
